Breeding Birman kittens for TYPE, QUALITY and TEMPERAMENT!
The first time I saw a Birman was in a Cat Breeds book, I fell in love with this lovely looking cat at first sight. That was in 1982.  At the time my husband said “No more animals”, as his employment involved us moving every couple of years.  It took quite a while but in 2004, he come to me and said “Now you can have your Birman”  This was when we had settled into our current home in country Victoria.” I have spent the time since serving my apprenticeship.  This has taken me on a very steep learning curve over the last few years but I have been very fortunate to have had the help of experienced breeders such as Sue Thompson as my mentor. I was lucky enough to gain my first Birman stud boy from Alishma Cattery in Queensland and after some bad luck, Louise sent me Keilani (Kei), my blue boy pictured to the bottom right. “Bronze Grand Champion Alishma Keilani, has had a limited show career as I mainly concentrate on showing his progeny.  Kei is a consistent winner in the show ring and has been awarded “Supreme Birman Exhibit in Show” on several occasions. Concentrating on the youngsters, Kasterlyn Birman’s are looking forward to the future and what it holds in store for Kei and his progeny.
